READING THE PAPER

I just got back from my doctor's appointment a little while ago. I've had tons of questions since the diabetes diagnosis so I tried to get some more things clarified about monitor options and supplies. After that, my boyfriend picked me up and we just drove around for a little while trying to decide what to do next. We finally just drove by the local theater and decided to see a movie. It was nice to spend a few hours holding hands and being with each other without really saying anything. I think we spent more time watching the couple in front of us than we did watching the movie. They literally couldn't keep their hands off of each other! I think seeing that made us a little nostalgic over how we used to be. We were speculating that they must still be in that exciting, dreamy, getting-to-know-you phase. Afterward, we went to the juice shop to get some hand-squeezed orange juice and somehow the topic came up about taking a day trip somewhere. We've both been working so hard lately and we both feel like we could use some time away and this would be perfect. There was this new discount bus service I was reading about in the paper and the trips are super cheap. I think we're hoping that a little time away will rekindle even a fraction of what we saw in the movie theater!
