It was not impossible, Tara said. Curing hair loss can be done. I was interested. I asked her how. She told me that it would take some time to bring me up to speed on it all, but she would be glad to, when I had a few hours. The next Sunday, after breakfast, we agreed to talk about how it can be done. Until then, she had some more research to do. I was busy most of that week, so I didn't know what Tara was up to, but I kept seeing more and more books and DVDs and magazines appearing on the kitcen counter. Finally, after breakfast on Sunday, we talked about it. Tara said that there were many so-called treatments out there, but only a very few showed any promise of doing anything. The first thing she wanted to make sure was that I wasn't suffering from any nutritional deficiancy. I wasn't. She had sent out a lock of my hair for examination, and it came back that I was within normal ranges on everything. So then we talked about stress and how it causes hair to fall out. I had been under a lot of stress this year, with sickness, and operations and job loss.
